I couldn't have imagined a more exciting, wonderful, fulfilling first six months in business! I owe it all to my wonderful clients and friends. I feel so privileged to have met your families and celebrated memories with you!

I love that I get the nicest and best looking families for clients! My last session of 2008 couldn't have been better - just look at this entire families stunning blue eyes! The kids were completely happy playing with sticks and running in the woods - a good reminder that the little things in life are worth celebrating. I also love that a family photo session was one of Rachel's and Shane's gifts to one another!

So this is not a "sneak peak" by any means, but I wanted to share this session that happened before Christmas!
Susan scheduled a session to celebrate her daughters' first and third birthdays. They are two of the cutest little girls, and it was such a pleasure to get to hang out with them!
Ina Mary has the cutest, sweetest personality!
but you can tell there's some mischief in there too :)

I love seeing relationships within a family. It's one of the coolest things about this job! These kids all seem wonderfully close with their parents - I can only hope my daughter is like Chelsea when she's in 6th grade! The whole family dressed so smart, but was still adventurous enough to go on a little hike.

I'm used to chasing toddlers around, so when Morgan asked if I'd do a session with her grandparents, parents, brother, aunt and husband, I hesitated! Sometimes I dread large group shots, because it's impossible to get "candid" pictures of eight people all together - so we had a little fun. I think they turned out great, and what's more important than celebrating the generations of one family being together over Thanksgiving?!?

It's so refreshing to see well-behaved boys. I love this age - when they're not quite teenagers, yet not little kids either. Jake and Max did everything I asked without any complaining or eye-rolling, and they hopefully forgive me for confusing their names about a thousand times. I love how much they love their sweet puppies! So here's to growing up - but not too fast!

I love this family :) I love that they showed up as themselves - I love that Ryan didn't have a meltdown when Cassedy wasn't quite cooperating - and I love that they are just so perfect together. Ryan and I alternate doing play dates with our two-year-old girls every week, so I'm going to have to capture Cassedy in her element (a tutu or princess dress) because she wasn't having the whole "photo shoot" idea. But we managed to get some of her turning on the charm. And sweet James just looked handsome the entire time!
I'm saving the best ones of the kids for Drew and Ryan to see first, so here are a few fun ones from our photo date!

Yes, you can celebrate things like dimples! Madison possesses one of those covetous features, that just have to be documented. She and her big sister Kara are two of the cutest sisters around - and I'm not just saying that because Josh and Katrina are good friends. I love the way Kara interacts with her daddy, and how Madison is very attached to her mommy - and how we could celebrate that through photos - along with dimples.

I was in a Bible study with Missy not all that long ago, but before Jacob was born, and it is so amazing to see him now - seven months old with the greatest smile EVER! Some kids are just born photogenic - Jacob is definitely one of them. I have more images of him smiling than not - and that is rare. He makes some of the cutest faces, and in his little tie, you can't tell me you don't want to smile too!
